August 1 Protest: PRP Vanguard Tells Tinubu, ‘Nigeria is Not Your Personal Estate, We Won’t Back Down’

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Vanguard has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu’s administration, stating that no amount of threats or intimidation can stop the August 1 mass protest against the government’s anti-people policies. In a statement, the group emphasized that the August 1 Movement is not anti-democratic, nor does it endorse military rule.

Threats and Violence Won’t Work

The PRP Vanguard condemned the government’s use of political threats and violence, stating that such tactics amount to harm, oppression, and instability. They accused the Tinubu regime of inviting military intervention with its unpatriotic conduct in state management.

August 1 Movement: Not Just About Tinubu

The group clarified that the August 1 Movement is not solely focused on President Tinubu, but rather on bad governance across all levels of government. They emphasized their commitment to a peaceful yet defiant protest, unashamedly patriotic and self-liberating.

Freedom Fighters Unstoppable

The PRP Vanguard concluded by affirming their resolve to march against bad governance, hardship, hunger, and starvation on August 1. They declared that no one can stop the Peoples Movement and that they will rewrite the social contract between the rulers and the ruled in Nigeria.
